The World's Largest Rodent
The world's largest rodent in the world is called the Capybara. It is also Callechoerus Hydrochaeris. These rodents come from South America. Some of the rodents can grow up to the hight of 1.3 meters tall (4.3 feet). They are usually active in the early morning and rest when the sun is up.



Capybaras are herbivores. This means they only eat plants. It is hard to digest grass for these animals but, they have adapted to their environment.
These animals are great swimmers and divers. They are sometimes clumsy on land. The weight of a male rodent is about 77-140lbs. The female is about 80-145lbs.
