            Seagulls the Air Thieves

Do you know when you have food and then suddenly you are attacked and then it's gone?  That's a seagull for you it is a scavenger who is not afraid to steal food from other people.  Seagulls usually live near coasts or sometimes will go inland if a storm is coming from the water.  If bunches of seagulls come inland than that will sometimes mean either food is starting to run out or that a storm is coming from the sea.  Seagulls are usually noticeable because of their white bodies with long black streaks that are on their wings.  They have smaller black dots on the front of their torso.  Their head is usually not very big, but the white hair is wispy and sticks up.  Their beak is yellow, and will sometimes have red on the tip.  The seagulls usually eat food dropped by people or will sometimes go to landfills and pick out scraps or food when they are inland, but when they are at the coast their diet is crabs and small fish.  Mainly hawks, falcons, and other bigger animals will eat them.  Wolves will also eat it, and the walrus will eat seagulls if they are dead.  Seagulls can live from ages 5~15, but they usually only live from 7~10 years old.  When seagulls breed the females lay three speckled eggs in nests made up of plants and other vegetation.  Seagulls make the nests inside or on edges of cliffs and trees.  Seagulls can be as small as 11.5inches or as big as 30 inches their weight can vary from 4.2ounces all the up to 3.8 pounds.  To call to each other seagulls make squaking sounds.
