HAMSTERS
Hamsters are considered as rodents who belong to this subfamily called Cricetinae. The subfamily holds about 25 species. They say that in the wild, they burrow underground in the daylight so that they don't get caught by their enemies. What was so surprising was that hamster’s diet and when they diet, they eat dried food, berries, nuts, fresh fruits, and vegetables. In the wild they will eat any kind of wheat, nuts and small bits of fruits and vegetables that they find in the ground, and they will probably eat small insects such as fruit flies , crickets and meal worms , gross , but I guess they would eat anything to probably to stay alive.
This is a really amazing hamster named Smoke storing food... ENJOY!!
General Hamster Behaviour
Hamsters are nocturnal which means that they sleep during the day and wake up during the night. If a hamster lies on its back, it means that the hamster had a nightmare and probably is frightend.
Hamster Language
| Grooming ; This is how you know that your hamsters are grooming ! |
When a hamster grooms itself, it will start washing its feet, hands and fur. Grooming means that the hamster is feeling secure and happy. |
| Squeaking |
When a hamster squeaks, it means that the hamster is afraid . This usually happens during the first days when the hamster is brought to a new place. This behaviour is very normal and will stop once the hamster becomes tamed. Dwarf hamsters may squeak when they play fighting for dominance, or if they are in a real fight. |
| Teeth Grinding |
It is a chattering sound which means that the hamster is irritated and wants to be left alone. It is also a warning before the hamster bites. |
| Yawning and stretching |
When the hamster yawns and stretches itself, it means that the hamster is feeling happy and comfortable. |
| Listening |
A hamster will stand tall on its back legs with ears up. It means that the hamster is listening to something that captured its attention. |
| Hissing |
Hamster hissing is the loudest noise. This mostly happens in a crouched position, mouth wide open, teeth showing, front paws raised and it means that the hamster is very upset and frightened or that the hamster is startled. |

Lifespan; Hamsters have a short life span of only 2-3 years.
Some Interesting facts; The name Hamster comes from the German word "hamstern," meaning "to hoard," and reflects their habit of stuffing their cheeks with large amount of food in order to carry it back to their den.
Hamsters are solitary by nature. In the wild they live alone in single burrows and dens. They should be housed separately from one another and introduced only cautiously if breeding. They are fastidious and clean by nature. They require very little maintenance and are relatively inexpensive to keep. They are attractive and interesting to watch. There are many colorful acrylic housing systems ready-made and designed specifically for hamsters.

Nice job on your page! The pictures and videos are so cute!!!!!!!!!!!! In the first sentence you wrote: Hamsters are called as rodents...
Maybe it should just be: Hamsters are considered rodents... That's all. Everything looks great!
