GIRAFFES!
Being the tallest mammal in the world, the giraffe reaches a height of more than 5m. Just their legs alone, which are about 6 feet, are taller than many people on Earth. The long legs of giraffes allow them to either run at the speed of almost 35 miles per hour, or simply walk at a nice pace of 10 miles per hour. A giraffe’s height also keeps a very close eye on predators through a distance.
The unique pattern of their hide is made up of irregular spots, in different shades of brown, with a light cream or yellow color as the background. Male and female giraffes vary in many different ways. Male giraffes have darker spots, are bigger than females, and also have a small bump on their foreheads.

Giraffes mainly travel in groups of about half a dozen at a time. Usually these one of a kind animals roam throughout open lands of grass, plants, and trees. They use their height to their advantage by getting leaves and other plants on tall trees. Another feature this creature has to help with their food is their extremely long tongue. The tongue of a giraffe can reach up to 21 inches. This helps them reach leaves on difficult branches. A normal giraffe eats an average of 100 lbs. of food each week, but must walk miles at a time looking for it.
