OSVALDOM HAS TAKEN OVER THIS PAGE!!!

Donkeys, zebras, and mules all differ from horse conformatation. Donkeys are also known as ass. They could be used as a horse. They also make a lot of noise. The back of a donkey is straighter due to the lack of wither. Donkey hooves small and round. Good legs and feet are essential for breeding mules. The donkeys voice is raspy and brassy bray. The characteristics are Aw-EE, Aw-EE. Many donkeys of common breeding may appear to have lon thin legs with tiny feet. Their ears are also much larger than a horse's ear. Donkeys come in different sizes. They come to Miniature Medditarian(under 36 inches), to the Elegant Mammoth Jack stock(14 hands and up). Colors in the donkey range gray shade of gray-dun to brown. The most unusual color is Dappled Roan. Where the face and legs are light and the face with "reverse" dapples. Another unusual color variant of the spotting line is the "tyger spot" pattern. Donkeys need lower protein content in their food. Good grass hay and pasture is all a donkey needs. A fat donkey will develop a "roll" on the neck. If the neck roll of fat gets to heavy, it will fall or "break over" to one side and will never become upright again! If the food is grained, the protein should preferably be lower than 12%. They need lower protein conten in their food. Donkeys can founder on rich food such as alfalfa and lush spring grass.
