Awesome Clones!!!!

This is a cloned Embryo.
This is a wikiLinkto learn more about DNA
WHAT IS CLONING?
Cloning is the creation of an organism that is an exact replica of another organism. There are many types of cloning processes, DNA cloning, Reproductive cloning and Theurapitic cloning. I will talk about all three of these cloning processes.
REPRODUCTIVE CLONING
The first successful clone to survive was Dolly the sheep. Dolly was created through reproductive cloning. Reproductive cloning is used when the scientist wants to create an identical organism. In the Reproductive cloning process, the first step is when a nucleus from a donor adult cell is transfered to an egg with no nucleus. If the egg begins to divide normally the scientist will then place it into the uterus of a surgate mother of the species that is to be cloned. The clone will not be totally identical because of mutations caused by nuclear DNA.
DNA CLONING
DNA cloning is the process in which DNA is cloned to make duplicates of the desired DNA strand or strands. The first step in DNA cloning is the DNA fragment transfering into a vector. This makes a recombinant vector. The recombinant vector is then added to an E. Coli. Once the E.Coli has the recombinant vector it should start to multiply, the multiplication is the product of DNA cloning. Sometimes there is the happening of the antibiotic or the E.coli added recombinant vector dies. This is unlikely to happen, but can occur.
THEURAPITIC CLONING
In theurapitic cloning, the process uses embryos. Embryos are unborn babies that are begining to grow into a full baby. This type of cloning clones the embryos to create stem cells. Stem cells can repair damaged tissue in the human body and can theoretically create new tissue like organs.(hearts, lungs, liver, ect.) The process in which the embryo is cloned and turned into stem cells is long but is very reliable. They first extract an embryo cell from a parent donor. They then let it grow in incubation for 14 days. After letting the embryo grow, scientists extract the stem cells from the embryo. The stem cells are then encouraged to grow into a peice of the desired tissue the scientist wants. This type of cloning can help fix diseases that involve the loss of tissue.
There, I deleted the starwars pictures and put in the Dolly cloning process!
